2 years ago I married my best friend and while I thought that day was the best day of my life, it’s only been getting better and better!
We both took the day off to spend quality time together, which was nice because somehow on the weekends, even though we’re both there, we’re busy doing something else: yard work, cleaning, sleeping, etc. Ok, it’s mostly me sleeping, but I need my beauty rest!
So a weekday off was a nice change and a good time to refresh! Our day started off with a home cooked meal!
Followed by some errands, one of which included buying our anniversary gift! We procrastinated and didn’t have a gift for each other, but the coolest thing was we both planned to get each other the same thing: SHEETS! The traditional 2nd anniversary gift is cotton. Two great minds think alike! So we went to Macy’s and bought ourselves a new sheet set and comforter cover. You know you’re old and boring, when you find that super exciting haha!
Then we had some lunch. We wanted to go kayaking, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. Doesn’t that sound familiar?! You’ll have to read our engagement story to understand.
Anyways, we ended our night with dinner at Ichiriki!
A fun-filled day and full bellies, made our 2 year anniversary a memorable event! Not to mention, we also took Luna on her first official walk outside. Just a short 15 minute one and I must say, she did pretty good! Slowly but surely, she’ll get used to the great outdoors!
How I love this dog and this guy to pieces!
Can’t wait for all the years ahead of us!

Hello and Happy Anniversary you love birds! It’s so nice to see that you two are so simpatico that you both thought of sheets for your gift. Awww…so sweet. I can’t get over seeing Matt with Luna…he is now officially a dog person because of Kathy. And dinner at Ichiriki too…Rachel will be so jealous! Congratulations Matsukawa’s and many more anniversaries to come. Love always, Aunty Pam
