It’s been 4 years since 4.20.2013, the day we got married! Let’s reminisce!
“hehe, he doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into!”
“oh no, what did I get myself into?!?!”
“too late to back out now! we’re married!!!!”
It’s been 4 wonderful years! Mostly good, mixed in with a little bad, but the hubby has always had my back and each day we grow stronger together. He is my rock and support through thick and thin; I wouldn’t be where I am today without him! Thank you for loving me unconditionally even though I’m not the easiest person to always be around. I’m demanding. I’m moody. I’m always hungry. I hate doing chores. I like to work a lot and be busy, but then complain that I need a break. I’m grumpy — well, you can see he has much to put up with, but he does it any way and I just want to say he really is hands down absolutely the best person ever!
This year, time got the best of us and we didn’t make any special plans *tsk tsk* We did however, treat each other to a nice dinner.
He picked Mediterraneo because he saw the “I love wine” chalkboard on the exterior and he knows I LOVE wine!
I picked Senia, not because I was being mindful of what the hubby wants, but rather that’s where I wanted to try haha!
Both restaurants ended up being terrific!
We also invested in an Instant Pot, since apparently the “modern gift” for 4 year anniversaries is appliances! If you don’t know what an Instant Pot is please read here! It is simply amazing – a slow cooker, pressure cooker, yogurt maker, etc etc etc all in one! It’s awesome! I’m most excited to try making yogurt and hard-boiled eggs, which supposedly takes only 14 minutes! We have yet to perfect a hard-boiled egg! It’s always either just under cooked, over cooked and/or hard to peel. If you have the perfect solution, please share it with me!
It’s been a great 4 years and we accomplished a lot so far – traveling to Europe, buying a house, buying a doggy and so much more! I can’t wait to see what else is in store for us!
Happy 4 years and to many many more!
Don’t worry, the 5th anniversary will be much more extravagant. I’m already starting to plan it ;)
PS – I’ve loved this guy since I first spotted him at summer school with his bowl hair cut. I can’t believe how lucky I am that he chose me to be his wife. By the way, those really were happy tears that he cried in the picture above (with maybe a small hint of “oh no!” hahaha)! As my daddy said, “I’m his problem now!” :)
