Another year passed! I have to admit, I lied in my 4 year anniversary post. I said our 5th year anniversary will be extravagant; I’m already planning it.

With me though, planning and actually doing are two totally separate things! I did consider many different options – beach house rental, outer island getaway, staycation, etc. But as always, time got the best of me (again!). I didn’t even buy a gift… although, I do know what I want to give! That’s gotta count for something right?!?!

Plus, we’re even because the hubby said he didn’t get me anything yet either, but he knows what he wants to buy haha! We are one in the same!

Although we had no gifts to share, we took the day off to spend some quality time together and just relax. What did our day look like?! Well, it included breakfast, a trip to Costco, icecream, Redbox rentals and take out dinner. Our married life is not so fancy, actually it sounds pretty boring haha, but all that matters is who I’m spending my time with.

I’m so glad 5 years ago we said “I do!” It’s been a great year and we have many more to go!  Now… let’s see how long it takes us to give the gifts we’re planning on buying!
