Finally, the day came when our last girlie turned thirty! Happy birthday to the baby of our group, Jenl!  Hip hip hooray! We are all thirty!!!!  Actually, this momentous moment is short-lived for me since it just brings reality into check – in less than 2 months it means I will be another year older!  There was one point in time that turning another year older was the coolest thing around – that might have been when I was 21 and that year probably seemed the longest for Jenl, watching everyone else being of legal age to drink.  But now, it just means I’m another year older.  Albeit short-lived, I shall savor these last 2 months reveling in the thought that we are all the same age!

Jenl’s birthday celebration was a blast!  This is how you know we’re getting older – our parties start earlier and end earlier, but on the bright side, I would like to say we are being more “mature” because we make it to happy hour, which means “cheaper” prices!  We are being financially responsible!  See that, we do get wiser as we age ;)  The theory is true!

We started off at Doraku and the food and drinks were great!

Jenl must like Doraku because this was the 2nd year we partied there, except this time was at their newer location on Kapiolani Blvd.  For the fun of it, I’ll show a photo from then and now!  Does it look like we aged???  Nah, if anything we all just got more beautiful hehe ;)

The party then continued on to Honolulu Beer Works!   Unfortunately it started to drizzle so we decided to move venues!  Since Mama Kris loves to serenade the birthday girl, it was only tradition to stop at Hibiscus Club, to enjoy a few songs.  It was a fun night with good friends, celebrating our youngest friend!  What’s even more amazing is that we invited our better halves to this event!  Sometimes they’re allowed to party with us!

What a GREAT group of friends!

Next up is Girlie Xmas Dinner on Saturday 12/27 and I’m sure we’ll have lots of stories to tell after that!  Theme is GAMES!!!!
