Can you believe …. I made 10 years at my job this past February!  That’s nearly 1/3 of my life *gasp* haha!  Since I work in the publishing industry within the tourism field, the company has many opportunities to attend grand openings, special events, fam tours and so much more!  Typically I’m stuck in the office all day everyday, but once in a blue moon, I get to venture out (besides the usual bank run)!  Oh how I love these field trips!

Waikiki Starlight Luau Show at Hilton Hawaiian Village

A few years ago, I got to attend one of the best luau shows on the island, Waikiki Starlight Luau at Hilton Hawaiian Village!  It was a lot of fun and my favorite part of the show, besides eating of course, was the fire dance at the end!  Simply amazing!  I had so much fun, I even wrote a Yelp! review, which you can check out here!

Recently, I was invited to Taste of Kualoa at Kualoa Ranch!  Now, as you can assume, I hold Kualoa Ranch near and dear to my heart, since after all, that’s where I got married! :)  Put together ‘visiting the place I got married’ with ‘eating farm-to-table food,’ then you get one very happy Kathy!

Welcome to Kualoa Ranch!

Kualoa Ranch is a 4,000 acre nature preserve with many fun activities like ATV riding, horseback riding, ziplining and more!  But what else is interesting is they cultivate many items right there on the ranch such as oysters, beef, shrimp, tilapia, vegetables, eggs and soon cocoa!  I had the opportunity to join this new “Taste of Kualoa” tour and I had a blast.  You get to eat delicious, local food that came straight from the farm, all while being educated, having fun and catching some sun!  Highly recommended and if you are interested, you can book it here!

……..Although beware, no promises, but you may run into a dinosaur!  Rawr!
