5:30am: woke up and the first thing I did, the same thing I do every morning, was go to the bathroom. Except this day was slightly different from other days, as it was the day I was born! As I sit on the toilet, I look to my right and see a lone flower! Awwww he bought me…. a flower…. “Why is there only one flower” my mind screams!

But, when I walk out to the kitchen lo and behold, I am surprised to see a gigantic, beautiful bouquet of red roses! Isn’t it gorgeous!!!! He said it is my “you’re only 29” bouquet. Thanks for the reminder; Now time to head to work!

7:30am – 11:45am: a typical day at work – checking emails, meetings and doing other miscellaneous things. At 11:45 it is time to head to Arancino for my coworker, Yukari, and my birthday lunch. Gloomy darkness looms outside and it is raining cats and dogs! We grab some umbrellas and huddle together as we make the trek 2 blocks away. Although we were soaking wet, it was well worth it!

1:30pm – 5:30pm: finished off the work day with more meetings and other miscellaneous stuff!
5:30pm: finally, it is time to head home and enjoy the rest of the night with family! On the drive home, Matt gives me my birthday gift and it is ….. an iPAD!!!!!! Which, he claims he gets to use too. I see his sly tactics, buying a gift to share. I am ecstatic!
Another year older and finally an iPad owner! I’m growing up!
6:45pm: we pick up my sister and brother-in-law, since it is his birthday too! Can you believe it, we share the same birthday, which to me calls for a double big time celebration! I guess my sister is attracted to people born on January 14th!
7:oopm: dinner at Uahi Grill was fantastic!

8:30pm: went home and opened gifts! I got so many goodies including a cute necklace from mom and dad and a variety of things from my sister and brother (in law). A gardening kit (hopefully my garden will actually grow), wine glass markers called “drinking buddies”, chicken poop lip gloss (don’t worry, it says chicken poop is not really an ingredient thank goodness) and a new shaving razor because I always cut myself and this one is supposed to stop that from happening! There was one other gift too, but I will just put a link for you to read on your own… DIVA CUP…

Overall, it was a terrific day and I couldn’t have asked for more! I am so blessed to have such a great family, fiancer, friends and coworkers. Everyone enriches my life and makes me a better person and for that I am truly grateful.
May 29 be my best year yet! So many great things to come…
